Therapy for Anxiety, Relationships, & Life Changes
Life can feel overwhelming at times, whether you're navigating anxiety, relationship challenges, work burnout, trauma, a major life transition, or the emotional changes that come with pregnancy and becoming a parent. You don't have to carry it alone.
As a independent therapist with over ten years of experience, I help individuals and couples navigate difficult life stages with more clarity, stability, and self-compassion. I offer therapy in English and Spanish through virtual sessions across Washington, in-person counseling in North Seattle, and walk-and-talk nature therapy in local parks. My hope is that every client feels genuinely understood, supported, and empowered to build a life that feels more balanced and fulfilling.
If you’re ready to start feeling more supported and less alone in what you’re carrying, you can reach out to schedule a first session.
Services
-
Individual therapy is a space to explore your thoughts, emotions, and patterns in a deeper, more meaningful way. Sessions are relational and insight-oriented, helping you understand what is driving anxiety, burnout, perfectionism, self-criticism, or feeling stuck.
I draw from psychodynamic and attachment-based therapy, with a strong focus on how past experiences and relationships shape current emotional patterns. I also integrate multicultural awareness and identity exploration when relevant, supporting clients in understanding how culture, family systems, and life context influence their experience.
-
Couples therapy focuses on helping partners move out of repeating cycles of conflict, distance, or miscommunication and toward greater emotional understanding and connection.
My approach is grounded in attachment and relational therapy, helping couples understand the deeper emotional needs underneath conflict. I pay attention to how each partner’s history, stress responses, and attachment patterns show up in the relationship, rather than focusing only on surface-level communication strategies.
I also support multicultural and intercultural couples navigating differences in culture, expectations, and family systems.
-
Walk-and-talk therapy offers sessions in selected outdoor spaces around the Seattle area for clients who prefer a more movement-based or less traditional therapy setting.
This option can be especially helpful for anxiety, overthinking, or feeling stuck, as movement and nature often support reflection and emotional regulation. The therapeutic approach remains relational and depth-oriented, just in a different environment.
-
I provide clinical supervision for associate and early-career therapists grounded in relational psychodynamic and multicultural frameworks.
Supervision focuses on case conceptualization, countertransference, attachment dynamics, and cultural/contextual awareness in clinical work. I also offer mentorship for clinicians developing private practice, including bilingual and culturally responsive therapy approaches.
-
I offer therapy in both English and Spanish, providing a space for clients to express themselves in the language that feels most natural and comfortable.
For many people, language is closely tied to identity, emotion, and family history. Being able to speak in your preferred language can make it easier to access deeper thoughts and feelings, especially when exploring experiences related to culture, immigration, family dynamics, or relationships.
Bilingual therapy can also support clients who move between languages in different parts of their lives, helping bridge emotional experiences that may feel harder to fully express in only one language.
Whether you prefer English, Spanish, or a combination of both, therapy is tailored to support clarity, connection, and comfort in the language that best fits your experience.
Clinical expertise
-
Life transitions can bring unexpected emotional disruption—even when they are positive or planned. This may include career changes, relocation, becoming a parent, or shifts in identity and direction.
Therapy provides space to slow down and make sense of what is changing internally as your external life shifts. We explore identity, grief, uncertainty, and the emotional impact of transitions that may not be visible on the surface.
-
Many people struggle with repeating relationship patterns—feeling too anxious, too distant, misunderstood, or stuck in cycles of conflict.
My work is grounded in attachment and relational therapy, helping you understand how past relationships shape current emotional responses and connection patterns. We explore how you relate to others, how you protect yourself emotionally, and what you need in relationships to feel secure and connected.
-
Burnout often develops gradually through long-term stress, responsibility, and emotional depletion. Many clients feel exhausted, unmotivated, or disconnected from themselves while still functioning externally.
I work with clients who feel overwhelmed by work, caregiving, or internal pressure to keep going despite exhaustion. Therapy focuses on understanding the internal drivers of burnout—such as perfectionism, self-worth tied to productivity, or difficulty setting limits—so change becomes more sustainable.
-
I work with clients experiencing chronic anxiety, overthinking, rumination, and difficulty feeling at ease even when life is going well. Anxiety often shows up as racing thoughts, constant worry, or feeling mentally “on” all the time.
In therapy, we explore not just how anxiety shows up, but what it is protecting you from or trying to manage underneath the surface. My approach is relational and depth-oriented, helping you understand the emotional patterns behind anxiety rather than only trying to reduce symptoms.
-
The transition into pregnancy, postpartum, and parenthood can bring a wide range of emotions, including anxiety, sadness, overwhelm, and identity changes.
I support clients navigating postpartum anxiety, postpartum depression, and the emotional complexity of becoming a parent. This includes working through feelings of disconnection, guilt, or uncertainty, while also exploring deeper identity shifts and relational changes during this stage of life.
-
Many clients navigate complex cultural identities, including immigration experiences, bicultural identity, and family expectations across generations.
My therapy offers space to explore how culture, family systems, and identity shape emotional life, relationships, and self-understanding. This work is collaborative and reflective, honoring the impact of both personal history and broader cultural context.
Locations
Vida Counseling & Wellness is conveniently located in North Seattle, and serves individuals and couples throughout Shoreline, Lynnwood, Seattle, North Seattle, Lake Forest Park, Edmonds, Bothell, Bellevue, and surrounding communities in King and Snohomish Counties. I offer in-person therapy, walk-and-talk nature therapy in local parks, and virtual therapy for clients anywhere in Washington State.
-
Virtual therapy offers the flexibility and convenience of meeting from the comfort of your home, office, or any private location within Washington State. Online sessions provide the same thoughtful, relational approach as in-person therapy while making it easier to fit counseling into a busy schedule. Virtual therapy can be especially helpful for clients balancing work, parenting responsibilities, transportation challenges, or those who simply prefer meeting remotely.
-
In-person sessions take place in my Lynnwood office, providing a private, comfortable, and dedicated space for therapy. Many clients appreciate having a consistent environment away from daily distractions where they can focus fully on themselves and the therapeutic process. Office-based therapy is a good fit for those who prefer face-to-face interaction and value the structure and presence of meeting in person.
-
Walk-and-talk therapy takes place in selected parks and outdoor spaces throughout the North Seattle and Lynnwood area. Rather than sitting in an office, sessions are held while walking side-by-side in nature, creating a more relaxed and natural environment for reflection and conversation. Many clients find that movement, fresh air, and natural surroundings help reduce stress, improve emotional regulation, and make it easier to process thoughts and feelings. This option can be particularly helpful for those who feel restless in traditional office settings or who enjoy spending time outdoors.
